Anti- Inflammatory Breakfast Smoothie

Ingredients
1 cup baby spinach washed
1 green apple cored and diced
½ a cucumber diced
Bunch fresh mint
1 cup frozen papaya
½ tsp turmeric powder or freshly grated
½ a lime
Top with water and ice
Method
Place all the ingredients in a blender and blast till smooth. Serve cold with a few ice cubes.
Turmeric is renowned for its anti- inflammatory properties. This spice contains curcumin a compound known to interfere with chemicals that cause inflammation. It is helpful both when ingested and when applied topically to skin conditions or injuries.
